The International Police (INTERPOL) has broken the silence on the arrest of Instagram celebrity Raymond Igbalodely, also known as Hushpuppi.
POSTCARD DAILY remembers that Hushpuppi was arrested in
Dubai for allegedly hacking the United States (US) unemployed database and defrauding the US USA Of more than $ 100 million earmarked for Native Americans in the battle against the coronavirus.
Interpol said Friday that Hushpuppi will be extradited from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Nigeria to face alleged multiple fraud charges.
INTERPOL Police Commissioner (CP) Garba Umar made it known while speaking to The Nation and confirming Hushpuppi’s arrest.
He said: “Yes, it is true that Hushpuppi was arrested by INTERPOL. We are currently working to bring him to Nigeria to face fraud charges.
“Some of the offenses were committed here in Nigeria and he has to answer for them.”
He added that other accomplices are currently on trial, as Hushpuppi did not commit the crimes alone.
