The African Action Alliance expelled its National Chairman and presidential candidate in the 2019 elections, Omoyele Sowore.
The party announced the suspension of Sowore at its national convention held in Owerri, the capital of the state of Imo, today, August 9th. The party also suspended 28 other party members.
At the convention, the party announced Leonard Nzenwa as the new national chairman.
Currently, the Department of State Services holds Sowore for the #RevolutionNow protests.
