The president of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Akinwumi Adesina, spoke about the resignation of Jennifer Blanke, the bank’s vice president of agricultural, human and social development.
Blanke’s resignation was confirmed by the bank on Wednesday and will take effect on July 4, 2020.
According to her, she left for “purely family reasons”.
In a statement, Adesina expressed his satisfaction at having worked with Blanke for the past three and a half years.
“I have enjoyed working with Dr. Jennifer Blanke for the past three and a half years. He demonstrated genuine leadership skills and moved the needle on many fronts, especially in the areas of food security, women’s financial emancipation and job creation. ”
“I wish you all the best and can’t wait to continue collaborations and efforts with Jennifer,” said Adesina.
