Before the governor’s election in the states of Kogi and Bayelsa, the national congressional leadership of all progressives revealed that their nomination forms would be sold for N22.5m.
The party revealed this in a statement through the National Organizing Secretary, Emma Ibediro, while announcing the calendar of government primaries in the United States.
The ruling party stated that the forms would be available for sale starting Wednesday, adding that the expression of interest applies to N2.5m while the nomination form is N20m.
“In line with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended) and the Independent National Electoral Commission’s guidelines, the All Progressives Congress hereby releases this timetable and schedule of activities for the conduct of the 2019 governorship primary elections in Kogi and Bayelsa states.”
Ibediro said the forms could be obtained at the APC National Secretariat and that the sale would end on August 20, 2019.
He stated that the last day for submission of the forms is August 21, while screening of aspirants would
hold on August 22 while the screening of appeal was August 23.
It said the primary election would hold on August 29 while the election appeal was slated for September 2.
“There shall be no separate charges for deputy. Female and physically challenged aspirants (get) 50 per cent of the prescribed fees for each position.”
“All payments should be made in full directly into the designated bank accounts of the All Progressives Congress,” the statement said.
