Candidates for the governor vied for the opportunity to be the official candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) for the election of Kogi State Governor on Monday opposed the election of indirect primary election by the party.
Latest Nigeria News reports that the party had decided to adopt the indirect primary to elect its candidate for the November governor’s election in the state of Kogi.
Remember that the decision was taken during the meeting of the National Labor Committee which took place on Friday at the National Secretariat of the party.
Latest Nigeria News also points out that the independent national electoral commission (INEC), the Nigerian electoral arbitrator, established November 2 elections for governors in the states of Kogi and Bayelsa.
However, the electoral referee has postponed the elections to be held on November 16th.
In preparation for the event, INEC recently published a calendar to guide the activities of the elections, before, during and even after the long-awaited elections in their respective states.
