President Muhammadu Buhari invited Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina state for an urgent meeting after bandit attacks, which killed several people in the local government areas of Dan Musa, Faskari and Batsari.

This was revealed on Wednesday evening by the President’s Special Media Assistant Senior Specialist, Garba Shehu, through his Twitter account.

According to Shehu, President Buhari and Governor Masari began the meeting at 9:30 am on Wednesday.

He tweeted, “President @MBuhari summons Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari to an urgent meeting on the security situation in the state.

“The Governor went into the meeting with the President at 9:30 pm, and the discussion between them is still ongoing at this hour (11:25pm).”

The details of the meeting have yet to emerge at the time of this report.

However, LATESTALERT reports that there is still no information on where Magajin Garin Daura, Alhaji Musa Umar Uba, was abducted in President Buhari’s hometown three weeks ago.

We recall that the federal government has confirmed the arrest of key suspects in the kidnapping of the district head of Daura, but its location is still unknown.

Meanwhile, speaking to a special tafsir in Ramadan, the emir of Daura, the SAR, Umar Faruk, lamented the inability of the federal government’s security agencies to save Omar from their captors.

He also asked for prayers for the safe return of Magajin Garin Daura.
