The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, said that the intimidation by President Muhammadu Buhari administration cannot stop the Biafra Republic.
The IPOB leader declared it on Friday while receiving members of the Bayelsa group who visited him for the death of his parents and the Paramount traditional ruler of Afaraukwu Ibeku ancient kingdom, Eze Israel Kanu and Ugoeze Sally Kanu.
Nnamdi Kanu, represented by Prince Mene Kanu, said that the continued intimidation against members of the pro-Biafra groups would not dissuade them.
He accused President Buhari’s administration of bringing down the Nigerian system.
According to the IPOB leader, Bayelsa members must remain firm and never discouraged.
“I have confidence in IPOB members in Bayelsa state. If you go, tell the whole world that Biafra has come to stay. We will not sell out. They can intimidate us, but will not stop Biafra restoration,” Nnamdi Kanu said.
“You can see what we are experiencing in this country now. People who said No to Biafra are saying Yes today. Biafra will come. I thank you for coming to identify with us in this moment of grief and sorrow”.
