On Wednesday, President Muhammadu Buhari chaired the first meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) after the inauguration of the “next level” ministers.
Latest Nigeria News understands that the meeting began around 11 in the Council Hall of the Presidential Village.
The meeting was attended by the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary of the Federation Government, Chief Mustapha, Chief of Service, Winifred Oyo-Ita, National Security Councilor, Babagana Monguno, among others.
Speaking at the meeting, President Buhari accused his ministers of not failing in Nigeria.
Reminding them of the oath they took three weeks ago, he said they had to provide selfless service to the nation.
After confirmation of the appointment of the 43 ministers by the Senate and a two-day retreat in the Banquet Hall, on August 21, 2019, the president took an oath to the ministers.
After the oath, the President allowed the ministers a few weeks to familiarize themselves with their ministries.
