Femi Fani-Kayode, former aviation minister, reacted to the kidnapping of a judge of the federal high court, Ondo division, judge Abdul Dogo by alleged armed men.
Latest Nigeria News reports that Judge Dogo was abducted by his driver by armed men suspected of being kidnappers during the journey from Abuja to Akure Tuesday night.
Ondo’s state police command, speaking of the incident, said that the kidnapping of Judge Dogo, which took place on Tuesday evening, did not take place in their jurisdiction.
According to the chief of public relations of the police, PPRO, of the command, Femi Joseph, the incident occurred in Ibilo in the area of Akoko Edo in the state of Edo and stated that it was within the reach of the Edo police command.
In a statement made available to Latestalert, the PPRO stated that the police, in collaboration with men from the Edo state command, had already acted to save the kidnapped judge and his driver from captivity.
Fani-Kayode, reacting to the recent development, has denounced the avalanche of kidnappings in Nigeria in recent times.
He called out President muhammadu Buhari, describing his government as “affliction on Nigerians.”
The former minister on his Twitter page wrote: “A Federal High Court Judge has been kidnapped in Nigeria? Wow a Federal High Court judge?
“May the Lord deliver us from this calamity of a President and Government that has befallen us and afflicted our people since 2015.”
