The presidential electoral tribunal ruled that President Muhammadu Buhari possesses the degree required to contest the presidential seat in Nigeria.
The court presented its observations during its ruling on Wednesday in Abuja, when it deliberated at the request of Atiku Abubakar and the PDP on President Buhari’s educational qualification to contest the 2019 presidential elections.
In the Court ruling that was still being read at the time of presenting this report, the judges declared that Buhari was qualified beyond the minimum requirements to challenge the presidential elections in Nigeria.
The court added that the evidence presented by the petitioners even showed that Buhari was trained to have a West African school certificate (WASC) and beyond.
The court also stated that the petitioners did not prove their claim that Buhari does not have the qualification to challenge the 2019 presidential elections, so he determined that there is no falsity in the reliability of the personal information presented to the INEC by Buhar before the elections .
