Court rules final forfeiture of Diezani’s $40m jewellery to EFCC, FG



The former minister of oil resources of Nigeria, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke has permanently lost some jewels worth 40 million dollars (about 14.4 billion dollars) for the federal government.

Latest Nigeria News recalls that the federal government through the EFCC had requested final confiscation for an alleged illegal acquisition of jewelry.

The jewels, classified in 33 games, include “419 expensive bracelets and 315 expensive rings”.

Others are 304 expensive earrings, 267 expensive necklaces, 189 expensive watches and 174 expensive necklaces and earrings.

The rest are 78 expensive bracelets, 77 expensive brooches and 74 expensive pendants.
