The procedures are stalled at the Court of presidential election requests (PETP) due to a request by the People’s Democracy Party, PDP, the lawyer of Atiku Abubakar, Livio UZOUKWU (SAN) and Atiku Abubakar himself.
When the case was mentioned a little after 10 on Wednesday, Uzoukwu told the court of the five-person panel, which has a request, that he would prefer to switch to cameras.
He sought the understanding of other lawyers in the case, after which it was agreed that the court suspends the session and listens to the questions that the PDP lawyer and Atiku wish to raise.
Following the agreement of lawyers that each party is represented in the meeting room, three lawyers each, the Chief Justice and the president of the Court of Appeal, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa left the procedure to resume later.
The main political personalities of the courts include: President, PDP, Uche Secondus (represented his party); former chairman of the commission for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu (on behalf of President Muhammadu Buhari) and the former member of the Assembly Chamber of Lagos State and national leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC ), Babatunde Ogala (for the game).
