FCT Police announces water tight security ahead of Wednesday Tribunal sitting

Before Wednesday’s session in the presidential election court that heard the case of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar against President Muhammadu Buhari in the Court of Appeal, the FCT Police Command announced strong security.

A statement sent Tuesday to the Latestalert by the DSP Anjuguri Manzah, responsible for public relations of the police, said that there will be a diversion of traffic on Goodluck Ebele and Shehu Shagari Way.

While apologizing for the inconvenience that the agreement could cause, the Command explained that it was part of a proactive measure to strengthen security in the place and prevent any act that could interrupt the session of the Court and lead to the infringement of the law and the order; Especially the clash between supporters of both sides.

“In light of this development, members of the public are encouraged to use alternative routes to their destinations on Wednesdays.

“The command reaffirms its commitment to the protection of lives and property in the territory of the federal capital,” he said.
