FG declares November 11th public holiday



The Nigerian federal government declared 11th of November a public holiday to commemorate Eid-ul-Mawlud 2019 in commemoration of the Holy Prophet Muhammad’s birthday.

Mohammed Manga, Director Press and Public Relations of the Ministry of Interior, announced this in a statement published in Abuja on Thursday 7 November.

He said that the Interior Minister, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, congratulated the Muslim faithful for the occasion and ordered them to live within the virtues and teachings of the Prophet.
