Nigerian rapper Jahbless shared his views on the topic “Yahoo Yahoo” after the arrest of Naira Marley and Zlatan by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
In a very long post, Jahbless visited his Instagram page to congratulate Ruggedman for speaking out against the Yahoo guys in the country and he also recommended that the government not decide to prosecute singers if they are found guilty.
However, he explained that if it turns out that both artists are innocent, the case will be a problem for the rights of creative minds of Nigerians. Furthermore, he explained that Naira Marley and Zlatan should not be charged with fraud if American artists such as Jay-Z and Rick Ross singing about crime are not tried.
He wrote: “Dear @ruggedybaba, first of all, I would like to thank you for the civil law services, if all the artists could talk in the same way you did, Nigeria would be a better place”. However, if these new acts were arrested due to a creative process, you may have rowed in the wrong direction. The last time I checked there is freedom of expression in this country, if an ignorant 22-year-old tweeted a wrong statement … we can always get him under control, what he did compared to Naira Marley, but what do you think of Zlatan? ? for a tweet or an “Am I a Yahoo kid” song, do you think it’s worth the energy and resources for the agency to take them because of their creative process? so songs like Yahoo and Maga don’t pay and many more should be investigated …
Even in the western world, people make music on guns and drugs if the government rushes to get them, people like Rick Kross or JayZ should have a duplex in the penitentiary, because singing about crime doesn’t make them criminals … they nairamarley and @ Lo zlatanibile are real scammers, allow the government to follow its course and make its investigations, all the accused of a crime have the right to be considered innocent until proven guilty.
We all need to unite carefully and make sure this whole process is for the right course, if these kids are innocent, our creative rights are in trouble. Meanwhile, “I’m a Yahoo guy” has 300,000 visits in 24 hours, it’s not bad advertising, after all … Pace! #Contatec
