The popular Nigerian blogger, Linda Ikeji, was awarded the African Media Personality of the Year at the African Achievers Awards 2019.
The award ceremony in its ninth edition took place in the House of Commons, the Palace of Westminster, in the United Kingdom.
The prestigious awards, which is an annual event that rewards individuals who have distinguished themselves for their contribution to Africa’s growth and development, was attended by Ms. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, President of the Nigeria Diaspora Commission.
The highlight of the ceremony were the honors of Achievers who were presented to the Africans who make the difference in various sectors of the world.
In 2018, Ikeji received an honorary doctorate from the International Trinity Ambassadors University in Georgia for his contribution to African media and activities.
After graduating, Ikeji worked hard to penetrate journalism by launching his communications company, Blackdove Communications, a modeling agency and an event management team.
He also created a magazine called FM, which launched its first issue in 2006.
