Nigeria Army Announce Support of N1bn for Millitary vehicle assembly plant
The army chief of staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, announced N1bn’s support for Nigeria’s military vehicle manufacturing company, Rigachikun, Kaduna to further enhance its operation.
This happened with the Nigerian Artillery Brigade 33, Bauchi State, winning the inter-annual Corporation of the 3rd Division 2019 and below the competition.
Buratai declared him at the end of the Combined Conference of Chief of Staff of the First Quarter Army and of 2019 of the Infantry Corps of the Army of Nigeria held in Jaji, Kaduna state, on Saturday.
He said the money would be obtained as a loan from numerous military investments throughout the country to support the vehicle plant.
Buratai said supporting the company would allow him to be well placed to satisfy the Nigerian army’s dream of being self-sufficient in the manufacture of its military equipment and protect the nation from currency shortages.
He also announced that in the next three months (July) at the Nigerian Army Vehicle Manufacturing Company, “we should have our new branded vehicles produced by the Nigerian army and for the Nigerian army” and for members of the armed forces group, so like paramilitary agencies. .
This, he said, would have transformed the Nigerian army and subsequently strengthened the Nigerian industrial sector.
