Omo-Agege won the seat of deputy President of the 9th Senate

The senator elected by Delta Central, Ovie Omo-Agege, won the seat of the deputy senate President.

He voted 67 votes to defeat his rival, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, who got 37 votes.

Ekweremadu, who is the former deputy senate President, was surprisingly appointed by Chukwuka Utazi, who represents the senatorial district of Enugu North.

Ekweremadu belongs to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), while Omo-Agege belongs to All Progress Congress (APC) and was adopted by the APC and President Muhammadu Buhari.
