The lawsuit is challenging the removal of his name from the list of aspiring governors in the 2019 general election.

The Supreme Court of a five-man jury led by Judge John Okoro clarified the issue as prohibited by law.

“This appeal was rejected, it was not withdrawn by the appellant and there are no objections and there is no order at cost,” said Okoro.

The APO chapter Oyo State prevented Shittu from participating in the primary elections because it did not complete the mandatory NYSC one year after graduating from Obafemi Awolowo University in 1978.

It was reported that Shittu turned to a higher federal court on April 12, canceling the claim claiming that Shittu had filed the case after the 14-day deadline set by law.

Shittu argued that the establishment of the APC states that angry members must fully examine the entire internal crisis resolution mechanism before going to court, which is why they could not challenge the decision of the party in court within the set deadline.
