Three suspected Yahoo Boys with double barrel gun and other items arrested in Ibadan



The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan’s zonal office, has arrested three suspected fraudsters on the Internet and two others for being in possession of Double Barrel Gun.

They were collected in the areas of Ologuneru and Olodo in Ibadan, Oyo state, after days of surveillance to prove the veracity of the accusations of fraudulent activity and the extravagant life without a tangible source of income against him in a series of written Requests for paternity, neighborhood

Suspected fraud on the Internet are Ajaguna Biola Quadri (27 years), Moshood Nafiu (23 years) and Anuoluwapo James Olasupo (22).

At the time of his arrest, Biola, who claimed to be a Polytechnic college student, Ibadan, was in possession of a 2008 Toyota Camry car, two laptops, an iPhone X, two Internet modems and looking smart.

Mosheed said he is a student at Alayande College of Education, Oyo state. The objects recovered by him are an iPhone 8 plus, a Tecno phone and a laptop.

In his own statement, Olasupo claimed to be a telephone engineer. From it two laptops, a phone and a mobile wifi were recovered.

They will be charged to the courts as soon as the investigations are completed.

Also on Tuesday, Commission agents arrested Soladoye Hammed Olayinka, 33, and Adeleye Ibrahim Adesola, who is 24 years old. The duo were arrested in possession of a double barrel Marochi barrel with serial number 149242.

Olayinka said he graduated in production and animal health, while Adesola said he was a student in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management at Osun State University.

His arrest was in line with the presidential executive order on the withdrawal of firearms and shotguns with private license, which entered into force on June 1, 2019.

Preliminary investigations by the EFCC revealed that the license supposedly obtained for the weapon was inconsistent.

Therefore, the suspects will be transferred to the Nigerian police for further investigation.
